Currency pairs

A currency pair compares the value of one currency with another. The first is the base currency and the second is the quote currency.

Spreads and pips

The spread is the difference between quoted buying and selling prices. A pip is a commonly used unit for measuring small exchange-rate movements.

Leverage risk

Leverage can magnify both gains and losses. Understand margin requirements and the possibility of rapid losses before using leveraged products.

Markets involve risk. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument.
